Monks of Saturnalia is a progressive jazz ensemble founded in 1998 by guitarist and composer Gregg Prickett, blending post-bop, free jazz, rock influences, and Mingus-inspired compositional concepts into a bold and distinctive sound. Known for adventurous improvisation, sophisticated writing, and dynamic live performances, the group has become a unique fixture of the North Texas creative music scene.

The current lineup features an extraordinary collection of artists: internationally acclaimed saxophonist Dale Fielder, Glenn Miller Orchestra saxophonist Aidan Sears, veteran drummer Alan Green, educator and performer Steve Brown, and acclaimed bassist Drew Phelps. Collectively, the members have performed with artists including Geri Allen, Miguel Zenón, Billy Childs, Kirk Franklin, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, and many others.
